Personal Proficiency on the Crags
Rock climbing is dangerous as we all know, but these dangerous factors can be reduced if we know what to look for.
Chris Beal has spent many years working and instructing in the Outdoors, last weekend saw Chris teaching Rock Climbing techniques and skills to a group of individuals wanting to progress on the crags.
Areas of Skill Development included;
- Use of rack, rope and hardware
- Belay skills
- Personal climbing technique
- Understanding the importance of angles in anchors
- Anchor point selection
- How to build safe and effective anchors that are equalised and independent with redundancy, for top and bottom rope systems.
