Out of Your Comfort Zone CIC, are on the move again this time to a stunning location to the small Island of Islay on the West-Coast of Scotland.
After a grueling 9 hour drive from Cardiff.
We reached the Port of Kennacraig, to catch the ferry that would take us on a 2 hour crossing to reach Port Ellen.
During the crossing it was time to enjoy the stunning views of the approaching Islay as we crossed in the open waters of the North Atlantic.
Dramatic views from the ferry of the low level cloud covering the hill tops in the distance on Islay.
Arriving into Port Ellen as the sunsets on the west coast, you can tell that this small Scottish Island has a warm welcome feel.
With only a 2 minute drive from Port Ellen, we arrive at our accommodation for just one evening. The rest of the week we will be exploring the wild camping that Islay can offer, along with the local pubs and restaurants..
